🎁 What are Mystery Boxes?

Mystery Boxes give players collectibles including Morphs, Gadgets, Cloaks, Wings, Banners and more. Boxes can be found by playing on any server, gifted by other players, earned via daily login streaks, vote streaks, Twitch/YouTube events, and from Cosmetic Crates.

🔍 How do they work?

Each Mystery Box displays possible loot before opening. The final prize is randomly selected from the shown list.

Prizes are color-coded:

• Green – Common prize
• Blue – Rare prize
• Purple – Epic prize (hard to find)
• Gold – Legendary prize (very rare)

Each box has a quality level shown as stars: use inline code for clarity like * to *****. Higher quality boxes increase chances for higher-tier prizes.

Free boxes (from streaks or random drops) expire after 7 days and may require a server prefix to open higher-quality boxes.

Prefix required to open higher-quality free boxes:

• `*----` Any Player
• `**---` Any Player
• `***--` Puddle, Mist, & Cumulus Rank
• `****-` Cirrus, Stratus, & Nimbus Rank
• `*****` Thunder, Lightning, Hurricane, & Hypercane Rank

Boxes obtained via crafting or Cosmetic Crates never expire and can be opened by any player.

🎯 How do I get Mystery Boxes?

You can obtain boxes by:

• Playing on any LegacyDuck server (random drops)
• Daily login streaks
• Vote milestones
• Events on Twitch and YouTube
• Cosmetic Crates
• Purchasing packages from the store (/gems) — store shows guaranteed quantities and qualities before purchase
• Being gifted by another player (gifted boxes do not expire)

🗃️ Mystery Vaults

In all spawns there is an Ender Chest named Mystery Vault. Right-click the Vault to see how many boxes you have and their details. Above the Vault you can see your current box count at a glance.

Inside the Vault you will find:

• Package – Stores all your Gift packages
• Book – Shows your last few prizes
• Anvil – Craft Mystery Boxes and view your mystery dust balance
• Nether Star – Open multiple boxes at once (limited by membership/rank)
• Redstone – Choose your opening animation (higher ranks have more options)

When you open a box a message will appear in chat showing what you won.

🛠️ Crafting Boxes

If you receive a prize you already own, you get mystery dust. Use dust to craft boxes. Crafting costs reduce with Club Membership tier. Crafted boxes never expire and you can craft up to a ***** box.

📦 Box distribution & limits

• There is no cap on random boxes you can find — the more you play the more you may receive, even while AFK.
• The server selects a random player approximately every 5 minutes to award a random-quality box.

🎮 Collectibles access & restrictions

• Access collectibles via the Nether Stars in Hubs, or use /cosmetics, /collectibles, or click the nether star in the /servers menu on other servers.
• Any collectible that may give a gameplay advantage is disabled in PvP areas and certain game servers.

❗ Permission errors

If you see “you do not have the required permission to open this box,” check the prefix requirements above — free boxes may require a specific prefix to open higher-quality boxes.

🐾 Pets

Mystery Boxes also grant pet items and pets. Pets follow you, can be sent on missions, and level up to a max level of 100. Feed and play with pets to increase their attributes. Pets have favorite or disliked items that affect stat gains.
