🏠 Claim Blocks Guide
Claim Blocks are a core part of LegacyDuck’s server gameplay, letting you secure land, build safely, and protect your creations from other players. This guide explains how claim blocks work, how they’re managed, and how to prevent losing them.
⚡ What Are Claim Blocks?
Claim Blocks are the in-game units used to claim and protect land. Each player earns claim blocks over time or via server rewards, allowing them to:
- Protect islands, homes, or builds.
- Prevent other players from modifying your territory.
- Expand your claimed areas as you earn more blocks.
Claim Block Limits & Earnings:
- Players earn 100 claim blocks per hour while actively playing.
- The maximum you can earn through gameplay is 3,000 claim blocks.
- Claim blocks can also be purchased or earned from vote party crates (awarded on every 100 votes) and other server events.
- To ensure your claims are safe from inactivity deletion, you need at least 5,000 claim blocks, which means buying the remaining blocks beyond the natural 3,000.
🛡️ Retention and Expiration
To keep the server optimized, inactive claim blocks may be removed if land is not accessed for an extended period. Key points:
- Claims on servers with Grief Prevention are set to automatically remove old, inactive claims.
- Unloaded chunks (areas of the world that aren’t visited) may also be purged over time.
- Maintaining 5,000+ claim blocks protects your claims from deletion.
- Regularly visiting your claims ensures they are marked as active and retained.
⏱️ Preventing Claim Block Loss
To safeguard your claims:
- Log in to the server regularly.
- Visit each of your claimed areas periodically.
- Maintain activity on your islands or homes to reset any inactivity timers.
- Ensure your claim block total is 5,000 or higher by purchasing extra blocks if needed.
Following these steps helps ensure your claims, builds, and islands remain intact.
❌ Lost Claims
Once a claim is removed due to inactivity, it cannot be restored. Always check your claimed areas regularly to prevent loss.
💡 Tips
- Create a routine to visit your main claims every few months.
- Use the in-game command
/claimlist to monitor your claim block usage.
- For server-specific rules, check the server website or ask staff.
- Remember: the first 3,000 blocks are earned by playing, and additional blocks can be bought or obtained from server events to reach the 5,000 safe threshold.
